It is preferable to visit the Cemetery to view the various facilities and discuss these options. Once the desired type of facility is identified, a selection can be made from available sites. Many people choose to make this decision in advance so that their family has no doubt as to their preference of facility.
Nudgee Cemetery provides many different options for the people of Brisbane:
The Cemetery office will issue an Invoice for the selected site.
A Certificate of Entitlement for a new facility will be issued by Nudgee Cemetery upon payment of the prescribed fee.
The fees may be paid by credit card or by electronic bank transfers.
The holder of the Certificate of Entitlement, or person legally acting on his/her behalf, has a number of rights and obligations, principally:
The grant of the Certificate of Entitlement for any facility does not convey an interest in the real property of the grave. The land owner is The Corporation of the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Each Certificate of Entitlement purchased for future use is subject to the condition that it shall lapse if not exercised within 25 years of acquisition. The holder of an unexercised Entitlement may, prior to lapsing, extend the entitlement upon request. There is currently no extra fees payable for such an extension
Financial provision can be made for the interment through a funeral bond. Nudgee Cemetery can provide information on how to go about this.
